that cell phones do not like being submerged in any kind of liquid.
My cheapo android phone is dead! Fortunately the replacement only costs $59. Long live the ZTE N800! If you break it, who fucking cares!

What liquids did you test? I bet it'd be fine in some egg nog.

I spent 80 bucks on a LifeProof case for my 5C - now I can drop it in the toilet anytime I want!

That phone is never going anywhere near my face again....but I have heard putting it in a ziplock full of dried rice for 24-48 hours works pretty well, too.

Is this some kind of euphemism for masturbating?

Oooooohhh... it was "submerged". Understood.
And yes, when I went swimming with my first gen Droid it got 72 hours in a rice bag and came back to life, mostly functioning.

Mine is flickering like the haunted TV in Poltergeist.
I wore this when I retrieved it.

Interesting fact, in my previous testing I found that iPhone 3GS's were okay with being dropped in marinara sauce!
Also, I've just decided that I'm going to watch Batman The Animated Series all weekend now!
